The Hollywood Hills Home of Norman Reedus from ‘The Walking Dead’

Looks like Norman Reedus and Diane Kruger just bought this castle-inspired home in the Hollywood Hills of Los Angeles for $8.5 million.

Published reports say that “The Walking Dead” star, Norman Reedus, and his partner, Diane Kruger, just bought a house from Undead labs zombie game developer Jeff Strain for $8.5 million. The pair of former fashion models have reportedly bought the 7,732-square-foot circa-1926 home in an all-cash deal.

According to the listing, which had been held by Farrah Brittany and Mauricio Umansky of The Agency, the three-story “Old Hollywood castle exterior” home was sold entirely move-in ready. In addition to the requisite pool, spa, multiple fireplaces, alarm system, etc. the totally-turnkey-2.0 property, also came with not just its own fruit and vegetable garden but dedicated a garden specialist, meditation room, and full complement of cookware, bathroom essentials and even booze.

The four-bedroom, five-and-two-half-bath home, which is tucked away on almost half an acre in the Hollywood Hills, also features expansive views from downtown Los Angeles to the Pacific Ocean and a gated motor court. Other amenities at the “gracefully restored … art gallery-modern interior” home include a basketball court with sound-dampening floor, outdoor kitchen with pizza oven, Vantage lighting system, Schotten and Hansen wood floors and Commune tile and tons “minimalist luxury features.”

Also from the listing: “The estate … has a full array of eclectic modern furniture, as well as a stunning, large-scale photography collection, a library of thousands of new books personally curated by the home’s owner, all-new eco mattresses and luxury bedding, a fully stocked dream kitchen (right down to the Italian espresso maker), eight huge televisions, a full Sonos system and most importantly, a turntable with a selection of jazz and blues albums. AND: “If you’re into clean eating, wellness and new media—like streaming and podcasting—the property has extra cool goodies just for you. For those who work or create at home, Wi-Fi is modern 802.11 AC with WPA2 encryption. The network gear is enterprise-grade Ubiquiti with a managed security gateway hardened against network intrusion, hacking and phishing attacks. There are seven Wi-Fi access points arranged throughout the house to provide full-signal strength in all rooms on all floors. Service is via Spectrum gigabit-class internet.”

The Agency’s Andrew Botto and Wolf Amer have been reported as bringing the buyers.

Super Rich Star Island

Some of the more amazing features of the $39.95 million property include: 255 feet of frontage on Biscayne Bay, two amazing private docks, a boat lift, outdoor swimming pool and cabana, pleasing decks and patios, extensive landscaping with a private-entrance brick drive, and stunning views of Miami Beach.

46 Star Island Drive on Miami’s Star Island is listed with Dora Puig of Luxe Living Realty.

It’s not often that we are stopped in our tracks by luxury real estate, having been in some of the most expensive and utterly over-the-top homes in America, but 46 Star Island Drive on Star Island in Miami certainly gives us at least a second or two of pause.

Currently listed for $39.95 million, the 1.4-acre lot comprises a property that was built back in 1923 by real estate developer Carl Fisher –who, among a great many other things, developed Miami Beach, Montauk and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Some of the more amazing features include: 255 feet of frontage on Biscayne Bay, two amazing private docks, a boat lift, outdoor swimming pool and cabana, pleasing decks and patios, extensive landscaping with a private-entrance brick drive, and stunning views of Miami Beach.

The house has been on the market for a little over three years, first entering at $65 million back in November of 2016. Renovated numerous times, it now stands at 20,000 square feet and comprising 40 rooms, including 10 bedrooms, 10-full-and-two-half baths (at least one of which looks to be full-on marble); a 3,000-bottle wine cellar; home theater; fitness room; two separate staff quarters areas, complete with living rooms, kitchens, etc.

Public records show that the current owner purchased the property for approximately $1.83 million back in 1987. No matter what price it ends up trading for, it looks to be a pretty significant return on investment.

Notable Star Island homeowners include Sean “Diddy” Combs, Gloria and Emilio Estefan, Don Johnson, Rosie O’Donnell and Shaquille O’Neal.

Pool, Pond & Unparalleled

The house reminds us quite a bit of the residence at Longhouse Reserve in East Hampton

Tired of the same old same old? If it’s distinctly different that you’re looking for in the Hamptons, then 40 Sayres Path in Wainscott is definitely worth checking out.

The striking $9.899 million modern, dreamed up by architect Alfredo De Vido and expanded upon by the legendary Maziar Behrooz, offers architectural significance and plenty of conversation topics. Set on 2.7 acres south of the highway and 1.7 miles from the ocean, the property features its own heart-shaped pond (we NEED to see photos of this!!), super unique free-form infiniti-edge pool with waterfall and other notable water features, plus sprawling meadow, tennis and a gorgeous wisteria-covered pergola.

Inside the house, which reminds us quite a bit of the residence at Longhouse Reserve in East Hampton (that was designed by architect Charles Forberg and built by Joe Tufariello), there’s an incredible solarium, more interesting angles than one is able to count, sauna, steam, massage, theater, wine cellar with wet bar, master with balcony, and a crazy staircase. Punctuated with walls of windows and lots of light, the eight-bedroom, 10-and-a-half bath comprises 9,129 square feet and was built in 2010, according to the listing. Waterfront Wednesday: Shelter Island

Shelter Island Heights property with 300 feet of waterfront and your own private boat basin.

There’s a lot to like at this $5.2 million 2.3-acre property overlooking Coecles Harbor in Shelter Island Heights.

Topping the list is 300 feet of waterfront and your own private boat basin. The property is also obviously greatly loved, and it looks like a lot of work went into the landscaping, which is quite lovely. Highlights include that protected docking area–picturesque and smart–the stone bordering around the waterscape, small waterfall, raised beds and berms, mature trees, colorful plantings and a well placed waterfront gazebo structure.

Waterfront views inside the 4,300-square-foot, four-bedroom, four-bath home on Lari Lane also look fairly extensive. And there looks to be at least three fireplaces, including one in (again, what looks to be) an expansive second-floor master suite with deck overlooking the water. Decks, wood flooring and a Florida-type room add to the appeal.

Additionally, the house is on a private road with only 7 houses, offering community tennis and waterfront park area. Listed for $5.2 million with Jeanmarie Bay, Marie Bransfield and Judi Desiderio of Town & Country.

Gotta Love An Indoor Pool!

Here are three of our top Hamptons property picks with their own indoor pools.

It’s freezing outside, but that doesn’t mean that we have to stop swimming. Because here in the Hamptons, it is actually possible to have your pool and enjoy it in the winter too.

Here are three of our top property picks with their own indoor pools.

Topping the list at $27 million is 1860 Meadow Lane in Southampton. In addition to the fantastic atrium-encolsed oceanside swimming pool, the estate-section property also comes with 5 ares of land, awesome ocean and Shinnecock Bay views, 200 feet of protected Atlantic frontage, expansive seaside gardens and bayside tennis court.

1860 Meadow Lane is listed with Tim Davis of The Corcoran Group.

The house itself, a circa-1988 6,200-square-foot modern with five bedrooms and five-and-a-half baths, has been renovated and updated. It, and all its various amenities, sits behind a private gated entrance. Represented by Tim Davis of The Corcoran Group.

Next up, at $15.495 million is 379 Captains Neck Lane, also in Southampton Village.

379 Captains Neck Lane in Southampton is listed with Michaela Keszler and Paulina Keszler of Douglas Elliman.

If you’re into serious fun, this could be place for you. There’s a lot going on at the 11,000-plus square-foot shingle-style home, which has a huge 65-foot-by-29-foot year-round pool with two lap lanes and a dual commercial dehumidification system, a 12-foot-by-12-foot negative-edge Jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, gym and even an indoor basketball court.

Set on nearly 2 landscaped acres, the energy-efficient house features a total of seven bedrooms and 10-and-a-half baths and generously oversized rooms. Represented by Michaela Keszler and Paulina Keszler of Douglas Elliman.

And last but not least, except in the $$$ department, is 42 Laurel Drive in Montauk. The $1.65 million property is a comparative steal, given the amenities.

42 Laurel Lane in Montauk is represented by Joan Hegner and Raymond Hegner of The Corcoran Group.

Recently reduced, the pristine circa-2003 4,025-square-foot, one-story, shingle-style home sits on almost an acre and features a climate-controlled 1,300-square-foot indoor pool under a dramatic cathedral dome, separate pool/guest house and en suite guest quarters. One COOL Pool

The house is modern. The views are massive. And then there’s that pool.

Priced at $5.95 million, the half-acre property at 20 Cove Lane in Westhampton Beach offers new construction right on the water. Facing Moriches Bay, and across the road from the ocean, the property also comes with sandy beach rights, docking rights, deck space and a hot tub.

Inside, the 5,200-square-foot home features six bedrooms, six-and-a-half baths, lots of windows, an open floor plan with luxe finishes and (floating!) features, and a fireplace in the great room.
